Which Output Should You Choose?

- PNG: For screenshots, text, logos, and transparent images. Photos may produce larger files.
- WebP: For web images where file size matters. Supports transparency.
How to Convert an Image
- Open Image Format Converter and select or drop an image.
- Choose JPG, PNG, or WebP.
- Adjust quality for JPG or WebP. For JPG, choose a fill color if the source has transparency.
- Click Convert, then Download Image.
What to Know
- Pixel dimensions are preserved. Converting to PNG will not restore detail lost in a low-quality source.
- Output is a single still image. Animation and metadata are not retained.
- TIFF uses the first page; HEIC, HEIF, and AVIF use the primary image.
